Halliwells Re-accredited as Investor in People

Law firm Halliwells has been successful re-accredited for a further three years as an Investor in People (IIP).

IIP is the UK national standard which sets out a good level of practice for the development of people to achieve business goals.

The standard provides a national framework for improving business performance and competitivesness, through a planned approach to setting and communicating business objectives and developing people to meet these objectives.

Commenting on the firm's re-accreditation, Halliwells' training partner Paul Rose said:

"Compliance with Investors in People is a key element of our strategy for developing people and processes in line with nationally recognised best practice. Since our original accreditation in 1999, we have made giant strides as a business, to the benefit of both our staff and our clients

"We believe there are continued benefits of being re-accredited and associated with Investors in People - it has almost become an expectation amongst future employees and potential clients looking to evaluate our credibility as a business. They see that the Standard continuously moves on and the reaccreditation process encourages you to review and possibly adopt developments in best practices that can benefit your business."

Born out of the recession of the early 1990s, Investors in People was launched to produce a framework which would help organisations become more effective by developing and harnessing the skills of their people to achieve the organisation's goals. For many organisations this was a transformative experience driving them forward to enjoy greater success. Almost 3,000 organisations have maintained their Investor in People status for ten years or more.
