Manchester United Signs Up Halliwells For Legal Panel

Halliwells has been appointed to Manchester United's first formal panel of preferred legal advisers with effect from 1 May 2008.

The panel was formed following a detailed review process involving a select group of law firms.

Panel members will be the preferred providers of the majority of legal services to Manchester United Limited and its subsidiary companies. Within the panel, Manchester United has also identified lead panel advisers for certain core areas.   

In total there are five firms on the panel. Halliwells will be lead advisers on IT matters and certain commercial work. The firm's tender team was led by partners Craig Chaplin and John Burns.

Commenting on the panel appointment, Ian Austin, Halliwells' managing partner said:
