Halliwells Teams Up With Sport Minister
Law firm Halliwells this week teamed up with Sport England, Richard Caborn MP - Minister for Sport & Tourism, and a range of key business leaders from the throughout the North West to discuss how partnerships can be made between sport and the private sector .
In an well attended event at Lancashire Cricket Club, a range of issues were debated including physical activity opportunities in the workplace, the potential impact of London 2012 on the North West and the creation of a National Sports Foundation to explore opportunities for investments into grass roots sport.
The debate was chaired by Halliwells' managing partner, Ian Austin.
"Businesses throughout the North West have a duty to help the North West Sports Board deliver the regional plan for sport and physical activity," said Ian.
