Halliwells Banks High Profile Partner For Liverpool Office

Law firm Halliwells has continued to strengthen its Liverpool office with the appointment of banking partner Richard Capper.

Richard, who will shortly join Halliwells from DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary's Liverpool office, is one of the region's leading banking lawyers. His practice focuses on project and property finance and he acts for both borrowers and lenders.   He will be Halliwells' first Liverpool based banking partner.

"This is a very significant appointment for our Liverpool office and we are absolutely delighted," said Ian Austin, Halliwells' managing partner.

"We have previously indicated our desire to build a significant banking practice in Liverpool and Richard's arrival is a signal of our intent.

"Richard is a leader in his field.   He is well respected and connected in the Merseyside banking community," added Ian.

Richard joins a number of former colleagues at Halliwells' Liverpool office including corporate partners Jonathan Brown and Paul Jefferson plus litigation partners Colin Gibbons and Fiona Parry.

With Richard Capper's arrival, Halliwells will have 19 partners in Liverpool - a figure which is sure to rise in the coming months.
