Halliwells Advises Manchester Biocide Company On AIM Flotation

Law firm Halliwells has continued its surge of activity on AIM by advising on the flotation of Byotrol Plc.

On admission to AIM, Byotrol raised �3 million pursuant to a placing at 23 pence per share.

Byotrol Plc, based in Manchester, develops, manufactures and sells biocides for the control and elimination of micro organisms.

Halliwells' team was led by partner Nigel Brown assisted by solicitor Kirsty McShannon.

Said Nigel Brown:

"We were appointed to act on this flotation after a tender process and Byotrol is a new client to the firm.

"The flotation involved a complicated re-organisation of interests in the United States and we were delighted to work through the issues and complete the flotation on time in a very difficult market. We have received excellent feedback from Byotrol's directors and we are looking forward to a long term relationship with Byotrol as the company uses its AIM listing to facilitate future growth."

The Byotrol flotation continues Halliwells' hot streak on AIM. The firm was recently named "AIM Lawyer of The Year" at the 2005 Growth Company Investor Awards.
