Halliwells On The Ball For Annual Corporate Recovery Conference

Karren Brady, managing director of Birmingham City Football Club, will be a guest speaker at law firm Halliwells' third annual corporate recovery and turnaround conference at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on 15 September 2005.

The full day conference will focus on the practical and legal issues which have arisen in corporate recovery over the last year.

"Following our event last year when Neil and Christine Hamilton shared their views on insolvency, we thought it would be appropriate to invite another high profile speaker," said Andrew Buchanan, Halliwells' national head of corporate recovery who is chairing the conference.

"Karren successfully brought Birmingham City out of liquidation and floated the club on the stock exchange," added Andrew. "She is well qualified to talk about a turnaround success story."

In addition to Karren Brady, the conference will feature a range of speakers from the academic, regulatory, advisory and legal sectors.

Concluded Andrew:

"We are expecting in excess of 100 delegates form the region's leading commercial, corporate, accountancy, banking and asset based lending sectors."
